On July 8, the independent battery energy storage project Nanhai Power Grid in Foshan, Guangdong successfully won the 20-year right to develop China Southern Power Grid's new energy storage investment. China Southern Power Grid Peak Regulation and Frequency Regulation (Guangdong) Energy Storage Technology Co., Ltd. will require an investment of 1 billion yuan, and the construction of a 300MW/600MWh battery energy storage power station which will provide 300,000 kWh of electricity for peak loads.
